Jimmy G’s Arcade in Leysdown is located on The Promenade and is the largest arcade within the tourist area. Situated in the middle of the strip, there is a large pay-and-display car park behind it, where most day trippers and tourists will park for easy access to all of the entertainment attractions. In 2025, it appears that ‘Mr G’s Arcade’, which is directly across the street, is part of the same group and venue, though it seems as if they are currently updating the venue and signage, so we have added that as a separate Mr G’s Arcade listing here.
Even on its own, Jimmy G’s is a large entertainment venue with an expansive arcade area. It also features a six-lane bowlingo alley, a spacious adult gaming area, and a large children’s soft play area with a separate and equally large café. Exiting through the rear doors, visitors will find a charming selection of amusement park rides for younger children, all styled in classic seaside fashion.
The front and rear entrances appear to be wheelchair friendly. While stairs separate the left (upper) and right (lower) sides of the venue internally. However, a wide, gently sloping ramp inside at the rear of the venue provides full access for everyone.
Arcade Entrance
Jimmy G’s Amusements has a very long frontage occupying a large amount of The Promenade. There are many bi-fold door entrances that they no doubt open on the hottest of days. Looking at the front elevation, visitors will find the adult gaming area on the left side with separate entrances for over-18s. Across the frontage there are several kiddie rides dotted between more bi-fold doors and on the right side, visitors will find the entrances to the café and a range of seating outside for customers to enjoy.
Coin Pushers
Jimmy G’s Arcade has a huge range of modern coin pushers, and these can be found mostly on the left side of the venue (with the bulk of the larger machines positioned on the right side).

Modern ticket-paying coin pushers include Monopoly Gold, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Pharaoh’s Golden Ticket, Wacky Races, The Simpson’s Donut Daze, Snakes & Ladders and Tom & Jerry. They also had several classic ‘Let’s Twist Again’ circular coin pushers and a Disco Gold, which is always nice to see.
Claw Machines

They have Maxx-Grab, World of Toys, Tickety Boo, Toy Box Catcher, Giga Cranes, Elaut EX-1s, E-Claw, ‘Find a Key’, Skill Cut variants and a range of ‘Prize Every Time’ claw games with sweets and plush prizes. Fairground Games
The lower (right side) of the venue is where the kids’ soft play, large café, prize shop and customer toilets can be found. There are also plenty of fairground games to be found in this section, and these include classics such as Power Roll, Milk Jug Toss, Coconut Bash (Shy) and Down the Clown, where players can win tickets by using their throwing and aiming skills. There is also the fun ‘Sink It’ game where players have to get balls into red cups like the classic American sorority game. Big Arcade Machines
Fans of giant arcade fun will love the two Monster Drops and the massive Power Drop X-treme, though these aren’t even the largest crane-style machines in the building. Standing centrally is a giant ‘Big One X-treme’ that towers from floor to ceiling, occupying the space of four EX-1s (and twice their height). It offers human-sized plush prizes, such as Lilo and Stitch toys, for players to win.

This has its own entrance on the left side of the venue and is a clean, spacious area filled with a wide range of different slot machines. They have rows and rows of the latest digital slots terminals from the likes of Blueprint Gaming, featuring both £100 and £500 jackpot slots. There are comfy casino chairs for every machine and a full casino refreshments area with tea and coffee facilities.
