Skegness is located in the East Midlands on the Lincolnshire coast. Skegness arcades are some of the very best on the east coast of England offering an impressive seaside resort that is on par with Great Yarmouth and Southend-on-Sea. Also commonly referred to as ‘Skeggy’, this beloved seaside destination can be identified by it’s iconic Clock Tower that stands tall upon the roundabout at the heart of the tourist area. The main tourist area of Skegness stretches from the town, down Lumley Road to the famous Clock Tower. Most beachside attractions are found between this landmark and the Skegness Pier. It can roughly be divided into two zones: the beachside attractions, including Bottons Pleasure Beach and Skegness Pier, and the Grand Parade area, home to amusement arcades, pubs, and bingo / gaming venues.
Don’t be fooled by the ‘seemingly compact’ tourist area as many of the Skegness amusement arcades are actually huge entertainment complexes that have two or three floors of games and activities to explore. A short stroll from the clocktower is the huge Lucky Strike Arcade which has an exciting range of arcade games and machines. Set across three floors it also offers various other beachside attractions such as bowling and kids soft play and bumper cars. Further along Grand Parade tourists can enjoy the Funland Arcade which is an exciting arcade that offers an arcade prize bingo section. Opposite Funland is a popular McDonalds and the entrance to the Skegness Pier Arcade. Do not visit Skegness without experiencing walking through the pier to the beach as it has a fantastic range of amenities and activities and in our opinion is one of the best Skegness arcades to explore.
Not only is there a wide range of amusement arcades there are also many different types of amusement park as well. Bottons Pleasure beach is the largest Skegness theme park, and it offers free entry to all visitors with many nearby parking options. It has a huge selection of different amusement rides, rollercoasters, fun sideshows and a great range of food and drink kiosks. Not only that but there are also three of the best Skegness arcades within the park so be sure to explore Las Vegas Amusement Arcade as well as the others.
Skegness Beach offers wide, flat expanses perfect for sunbathing and building sandcastles, especially when the tide is out. Beachgoers can explore the dunes and grasslands, making it an ideal place to find a good spot for a relaxing day by the sea. The coastal path also provides easy access to close by seafront areas.
