Funland Amusement Arcade Skegness

Funland Amusements and Lings Oasis Bingo are one in the same. Please see the separate listing for Lings Oasis Prize Bingo in our Bingo section.  

This arcade is centrally located opposite the entrance to the Skegness Pier and Bottons Pleasure Beach on Grand Parade and has a separate entrance for the adult casino slots area, which is on the left-hand side of the Lings building.

Funland occupies a wide frontage in this popular tourist area and offers full wheelchair friendly access with many wide and welcoming entrance options. At the front of the venue, visitors can find a wide range of young kiddie rides for the smallest of patrons to enjoy. 

Crane Claw Machines

Also at the front of this entertainment venue is a great selection of claw machines. There are traditional examples including rows of Elaut EX-1s, with a great range of plush toy prizes including Deadpool, Garfield, Beetlejuice and Wolverine characters. 

There are also more modern crane machines including WinFall Revolution where players can win mini plushy key chain toys and also Tickety Boo / Ticket Dome, where patrons can win big reels of tickets using their claw machine skills. 

Fans of chocolate will enjoy the Cadbury Dairy Milk drop machines, where players can win chocolate and other sweet treats. In a similar vein, the Million Pound Drop machine offers cash prizes of £50 notes. 

Funland arcade also has some unique hybrid coin pusher / claw machines called Wizard of Oz and Ticket Circus, where you have to aim at the targets to win big ticket prizes. 

Coin Pushers

Lings Oasis has an incredible range of modern and traditional coin pushers and some unique and enjoyable examples. With nearly all of the coin pushers here paying out generous ticket wins, it is really easy to win great prizes. We often find that entertainment venues with arcade prize bingo usually offer generous prizes in both tickets and shelf wins as they are set up for it and this is certainly the case with Funland, which is very generous with its prizes.

For players who enjoy feature board play, head straight for the Haunted House, Pharaohs Golden Ticket, Aladdin, Temple of Tickets and Snakes and Ladders coin pushers. It is possible to win big ticket prizes by timing coin rolls just right to get onto the upper feature board. 

There is also a large selection of other ticket coin pushers that have three reels and pay tickets out as play progresses. These include Deal or No Deal, Rainbow Riches, Justice League and Sweet Falls. 

Alternative ticket prize coin pushers include a branded Harry Potter pusher, Snakes ‘n’ Ladders, Clockwork Oranges and Prize Quest, which pays out mystery golden egg 'find a key' prizes. 

Try to find the row of three classic Crompton’s Carousel coin flippers offering great shelf prizes for players who like to flip coin up high!

Classic Arcade Games 

Classic arcade machine fans will enjoy the air hockey tables in the upper raised area as there is a full-size table here and also a mini air table for small kids called Jungle Hockey that also pays out tickets!?

With most of the gaming machines in Funland being modern, there is only one other to mention here and that is the licenced 'Return of the Jedi' Star Wars £5 fruit machine, that sits on its own like a relic from a galaxy far far away. 

Fairground Games

Funland amusements has a great range of ticket paying fairground games including two 'Hoops for Tickets' basketball arcade games, Down the Clown and Pixel Chase. There is also the large two player Demolition King machine, where friends can face-off and win tickets by demolishing buildings on the big screens. Be sure to check out the Fishin Frenzy game, which will wisp you back to the funfairs of youth.  

If visitors have small children, it is highly recommended to head up to the raised area as there is a row of nice half-size fairground style aiming games here for pint-sized players including Crazy Kitten, Fast Food Frenzy and Rainbow Basketball, which will put a smile and laughter on little ones faces. 

There is also a Whack-n-Win high striker strongman game, where players can win tickets by testing their strength. Why not see who has the hardest ‘whack’!

Big Ticket Arcade Machines

Lings Funland has no shortage of large sit-down style ticket arcade games, and this is certainly one of it’s strongest areas. Players can find a great selection including Zombie Outbreak (with the water canons), Fireball, Ocean Party and Pirates Hook. Coin stacker fans will love the Angry Birds Coin Crash and also the modern two player Tornado.

Modern arcade enthusiasts will also be happy to find a two player Silver Falls game, where you have to get the silver balls to land in the targets from the conveyor belt. It is possible to win huge ticket jackpots here. 

Wheel Spinner Arcade Games

Minimal Effort, maximum potential. See which family member has the best spin and luck, by enjoying one of the fine wheel spinner games – Wheel of Fortune (just like being on the TV show) and Treasure Quest with a top prize of one thousand tickets!

Ticket Slot Machines

Funland has the largest selection of ticket slot machines in Skegness and quite possible the UK! We are yet to discover an arcade venue with more triple machines with upper feature boards. These include Game of Tickets (thrones), Ticket (tomb) Raider, Temple of (doom) Tickets, Count Dracula, Stop the Clock, Emoji, Aladdin, Pieces of Eight and Freddies Vacation. There are more dotted round the venue including a four-player sit-down Count Dracula and row of Crazy Chickens. See which others you can spot!

£5 Jackpot Fruit Machines

As with ticket slots, there is a large selection of £5 jackpot fruit machines at Funland that provide a well-balanced playing arena for patrons who want to try their hand at winning tickets and coins.

Funland has some nice examples of sit-down style fruit machines including a Deal or No Deal Bankers Bonus, Adders and Ladders and a massive six player Party Games machine with the digital display. 

On the opposite side of the venue there are rows of triples including Batman Begins, Golden Game, Bullion Bars and a Party Time Arena. There are also lots of Skill Ball machines throughout the venue including Zingy 2 with £50 jackpots. 

There are also various standalone fruit machines dotted around the amusements venue including Clockwork Oranges, Adders and Ladders, Lady Luck Around the Clock (half-cabs), Crazy Fruits (some five pence per play) and many more to discover. 

Casino Slots Area

The casino slots area is on the left-hand-side of the building (where the Lings signage is) and occupies a large amount of space and has its own private side entrance for discretion or late entry/exit. 

This adult gaming venue is packed full of the latest digital terminals including modern examples from Blueprint, Vantage, Nuovo and Golden Greats. They have the latest games here including Monopoly, Big Bass Fishing and Rise of Anubis. 

There is also a great selection of mechanical chrome cabinet slot machines and also many pub-style fruit machines. Jackpots range from £25 all the way up to £500 jackpots (with many machines having £100 jackpots). 

Lings Prize Bingo

There are many prize bingo tables and comfy chairs here, floor to ceiling windows of fantastic prizes and a Prize shop / change kiosk where players can exchange tickets and bingo wins for great prizes. They also offer free tea and coffee to bingo players and have toilets in the same section. A perfect place for nan to have a quick game whilst you play with the little ones in the arcade. 

Venue Verdict

Even though there are larger venues in Skegness, we absolutely adore Funland as it has the best balance of machines for the whole family to play and there is something for everyone here. The coin pushers are generous and have generous shelf prizes and the ticket arcade games pay out often! A visit to Skegness would not be worth a mention without a visit to Lings Oasis / Funland arcade, highly recommended.
