Superbowl UK Ipswich is a modern ten-pin bowling and family entertainment venue, conveniently located in the heart of the Buttermarket Shopping Centre. Positioned on the first floor of the shopping complex, it’s easily accessible and surrounded by a mix of restaurants, shops, and other entertainment attractions.

Inside, visitors will find a twelve-lane bowling alley alongside Crazy Club, an exciting soft play area designed to keep children active and entertained. For adults and families alike, there are also arcade amusements and regular weekly promotions listed on the Superbowl UK website, making it easy to plan an affordable day or evening out.

Most visitors enter via the escalators at the St Stephen’s Lane entrance, though customer lifts are also available, making the venue accessible and wheelchair friendly. The front foyer provides a spacious welcome area, lined with arcade machines, which opens up into an extensive entertainment space where the arcade sits at the centre, with all the other attractions close by.

A large bar and seating area serves both drinks and food, while the impressive Ninja Tag Active zone offers a fresh twist on the classic game of tag - this time designed within a soft play environment for adults. Of course, the main highlight remains the bowling alley, which guarantees fun for all. The arcade itself is a SEGA Prize Zone, meaning most of the machines come from the SEGA family, with many offering ticket redemption prizes. The machines are modern, well-maintained, and provide a wide range of entertainment for the whole family.

Children’s Arcade Games

There are many children's arcade machines at Superbowl that can be enjoyed by young children as well as adults. These include a two-player Ice Man game, where players shoot targets on a screen. There is also the fantastic Sonic Blast Ball, where small hands can win big ticket prizes. They also have a three-player Centipede Chaos which is a fun shooting game suitable for youngsters, where tickets can also be won.

Claw Machines

There are some fun claw machines at the Superbowl Arcade, and these include a Winfall Revolution and also Wonder Cut, which is a skill cut-style game. There is also a row of Grab-n-Win claw machines offering fun plush prizes, including Lilo & Stitch and Dinosaur teddies.

Coin Pushers

There is one large eight-player Rainbow Riches coin pusher here, though it is stocked full of great shelf prizes and also pays out ticket wins that can be redeemed at the change kiosk  and prize shop counter.

There are some fun wheel Spinners in this arcade, perfect for those looking for easy fun and easy ticket wins. They have a large Monopoly Go, Treasure Quest and also  Bop It Arcade, which looks like a wheel spinner, though players have to work harder, hitting joysticks and buttons to win big.

£5 Jackpot Fruit Machines

We noted a single £5 jackpot fruit machine at this venue, which was the modern Deal or No Deal Winfall from Eclipse gaming that integrates a digital display in a traditional fruit machine cabinet.

Casino Slots

In the bar area, we noted two modern digital slot machines, both with £100 jackpots. 

Venue Verdict

Superbowl UK in Ipswich is a clean, modern venue that has a great ambience and plenty of fun attractions for players of all ages. The amusement arcade has a great range of the latest games, and these are all well kept and ready to pay out tickets. As one of the only arcade options in Ipswich town centre, it makes a perfect setting to spend a day of fun with family or friends. Be sure to check this venue out!
