Wilsons Amusements Arcade Bridlington

Wilson's is a well-established name in Bridlington and a familiar part of the town's amusement arcade scene. The company now operates two separate arcades, both located within the pedestrianised tourist centre of Bridlington. Both amusement arcades appear to be step-free and wheelchair friendly.

The first Wilson's arcade sits next to the Bridlington Forum on the Esplanade. Visitors are welcomed by colourful fairground-style signage above a traditional amusement arcade, with a Gelato kiosk positioned outside the entrance. Inside, the venue has a fun seaside atmosphere and offers a great selection of classic amusement arcade machines.

Claw Machines

Outside, there are tables and chairs for customers, along with several kiddie rides that are ideal for a photoshoot. At the front of the venue, there are several different types of claw machine, including Prize Capsules, Toy Box Catchers and the modern Rainbow Deluxe. There is also a golden egg Find-a-Key machine, with all grabbers featuring a quality selection of prizes, including Jelly Cat and Labubu plushies.

Coin Pushers

Wilson's also has a fun range of coin pushers, including Ladybug, Marvel Vs DC and Let's Go Quackers! Fans of vintage pushers will love the Crompton's Flippa Winna and Hi-Roller 2p machines, as well as a Star Trek branded machine.

Fruit Machines

British fruit machine enthusiasts will also find several standalone and triple-row machines here, including Monopoly, Party Time and Deal or No Deal, as well as a couple of Skill Ball Deluxe and Pac-Man machines. There is also a small adult gaming area just behind the ice cream kiosk, which has a fine selection of the latest digital slot machines with £100 and £500 jackpots.

Wilson's on the Esplanade has a great atmosphere, with a traditional seaside arcade feel that captures the spirit of a classic day out by the coast.

The second Wilson's Arcade in Bridlington is located a short walk away on the corner of Garrison Street and Cliff Street. Formerly Chapmans Funland, this venue appears to follow the same successful format as the first Wilson's arcade, offering visitors at the south end of town a similar line-up of classic amusement machines.

Stand-out machines include a classic Crompton's Cosmic Invaders, Maxx Grab claw machines and the popular Party Time triple fruit machine from Astra.

There does not appear to be a ticket prize system at either arcade, although the machine selection is thoughtfully chosen and offers plenty of variety. There is also another arcade space next door, but it appears to operate separately. With no clear signage, it was difficult to determine which areas belonged to which provider.

That aside, both Wilson's arcades successfully capture the classic seaside arcade atmosphere that makes them a great addition to a day out in Bridlington. Whether you are looking for traditional amusement machines, claw machines or a nostalgic coastal experience, both venues offer a fun and welcoming stop for visitors exploring the town.
