Leisureland Amusements Arcade Cromer

Leisureland arcade is situated in the main tourist area in Cromer on New Street, which is a busy throughfare between the lower esplanade and the town centre. With much of the pedestrian visitors and coach parking flowing in from the west side of the town, this area becomes very busy during high season, with visitors enjoying the tourist attractions, marvelling at the Victorian facades and exploring the quaint side alleys. 

Next door there is a pizza takeaway and Ice cream shop, with Morrisons petrol station located on the other side. Opposite the amusements are some popular fish and chips restaurants with sea views to food kiosks and takeaways.

Arcade Entrance

Leisureland amusements is welcoming and has two entrances on two levels. The venue is somewhat wheelchair friendly and upon entry, guests are greeted by some half-sized statues of Mario and Toad from the hit game series.

There is also a selection of young kiddie rides out front for the smallest of family members to enjoy as well as the popular Win Fall Revolution spinning grabber, where players can win small plush toys and keychains.

Crane Claw Machines

As one enters the arcade on both the upper and lower levels visitors will find many crane claw machines lining the outer walls. These include E-Claw and EX-1 machines and are stocked full of some great branded prizes including Disney, Pokémon and Winnie the Pooh plush toys. Players can also win the coveted Steven the Seagull, which is a must for any visit to the seaside!

At the rear of the arcade, players can find two monster drop machines offering huge ticket prize amounts and there is also a 'Find a key' golden egg mini claw grabber here, where players can win a mystery prize!

Coin Pushers

Leisureland Cromer has a great range of modern coin pushers that pay out ticket prizes. The coins fall off the shelf easily here and it is very easy to win shelf prizes including sweets and lollies, toys and small plush keychains.

Branded coin pushers include Simpsons Donut Daze, Rainbow Riches, Justice League, Lady Bug, Sweet Falls, Looney Tunes and Monopoly with upper feature board.  

Classic Arcade Games 

At the rear of the lower ground area, competitive friends and family can face-off on the Pac-Man Slider air hockey table game. For arcade racing fans, there is also a two player Mario Kart DX arcade machine where players can race and throw bombs and mushrooms at each other.

In the upper-level visitors can play on the two player Master Sniper shooting game where the objective is to shoot the targets with the large sighted sniper rifle guns.

Fairground Ticket Arcade Machines

Leisureland amusements has a great range of ticket paying fairground games including two-player roll-down machines – Ticket Raider and Adders and Ladders, where the idea is to roll-down a two pence piece onto the moving conveyer belt to see if you can get it through the target hole and win a ticket prize. Some targets also activate the upper feature board for even bigger ticket wins!

At the rear of the arcade venue, there are two Down the Clown machines where friends can play against each other and also win tickets for throwing balls and knocking down the clowns, just like at the fairground in the olden days.

Sporting fans can find two Sonic Allstars arcade basketball games, where players have to aim the ball into the hoop to tally points (beat the other player) and win tickets. 

Big Ticket Arcade Machines

Leisureland has a couple of interesting sit-down style modern ticket arcade games and they include a three player Joyful Ball game, where players have to get the large metal balls into the holes on the table, whilst navigating the moving conveyor belt to win big ticket prizes. 

There is a Goal Line Rush game, which is similar to Joyful Ball, though uses larger American football style balls and also a Monopoly Go arcade machine, which takes smaller players on a journey around the Monopoly board. 

Fans of modern coin pusher hybrids will enjoy the Spongebob Squarepants Pineapple Arcade machine, where players navigate a feature board to push coins and win ticket prizes. In the upper arcade section is a similar game called Magic Ball Miracle which is a two-player game that uses balls instead of coins.

Ticket Slot Machines

There are six ticket slot machines to play at this venue and they include two triple rows of 'Temple of (Doom) Tickets' and 'Ticket (Tomb) Raider'. Both machines have an upper feature board, where players can win huge ticket jackpots. These are great to play whilst keeping an eye on young ones. Have a flutter on a fun game that can contribute to a bigger ticket prize tally for the kiddies. 

£5 Jackpot Fruit Machines

We noted a standalone £5 jackpot fruit machine in this gaming venue and that was a Clockwork Oranges machine. There is a Pac-Man skill ball machine next to it where players who have enough skill can win a top prize of £50! 

Casino Gaming Area

There is a handy ATM machine just outside the adult casino slots area, which is located in the upper rear room of the venue. 

A great range of modern digital gaming terminals can be found here including Blueprint, Golden Greats and Barcrest machines. Top prizes depend on stake and can be as little as £5, all the way up to the £500 jackpot slots, with the majority of the machines offering £100 jackpots. They also have some nice standalone mechanical fruit machines including Super Multi Nudge with £100 jackpot.

Venue Verdict

Leisureland arcade is set out really well and has a great bustling atmosphere, perfect for a family to enjoy (especially if the weather turns while at the beach). They have a large prize shop with a huge range of prizes and souvenirs, and the change kiosk is central, with staff on hand to help players redeem tickets for prizes. There is also a great range of sweets and lollies to be won both on the coin pusher shelf and in exchange for tickets. They have plenty of change machines and a ticket eater machine to make counting those tickets a breeze. 

With a wealth of modern gaming machines, a visit to Cromer would not be complete without a pitstop and play at the Leisureland amusement arcade.
