Fantasia occupies a central location along Sea Road in Felixstowe and much like other public areas of the seafront, the arcade has recently undergone a programme of renovation formerly being known as ‘Family Amusements Felixstowe’.
Boasting a fully loaded ice cream parlour at one end and sports bar / pool club at the other, Fantasia amusement arcade really is a fun entertainment centre with attractions for the whole family.
Viewing Fantasia from the promenade gardens, one can see that the right-hand side of the arcade is dedicated to an adult casino slots area which has it’s own branding and entranceway for serious adult players. With several other entrances along the frontage these are flanked by a range of young kiddie rides and a few crane grabber claw machines out front.
Spacious Amusement Arcade
The amusements venue is spacious and welcoming, and walkways have been designed with space for a diverse range of communities in mind.
The arcade complex is rectangular shaped with the prize shop ticket window at one end and another change kiosk at the other. In between the amusements has a wide range of different machines.
Coin Pushers + Tickets
There is a wide range of modern coin pushers with great shelf prizes, which also pay out winning tickets which can be exchanged for a huge range of prizes. There are Sweet Falls, Justice league, Space Invaders and Deal or No Deal modern coin machines, all with tickets for prizes.
With a large change kiosk and several change machines dotted around the venue, it was easy change coins for any denomination.
Ticket Arcade Games
Spread across the venue are a range of larger ticket arcade games including SpongeBob Square Pants Pirates of Bikini Bottom, which is a brand-new ball pusher style machine that has a similar gaming style to the famed Japanese Pachinko.
There are also roll down ticket machines, claw grabbers with ticket wins and a selection of ticket slot machines. These fruit machines are usually in doubles or trebles, and we have found them to be more generous in terms of wins than regular fruit machines, though this really depends on if tickets or pound coins are your objective. The ticket slot machines in Fantasia were certainly generous!
There are two ticket eater machines close to the prize shop ticket window for easy exchange of your ticket wins directly for the prize of your choosing.
Fruit Machine Features
Before entering the adult casino slots area, there are two £5 jackpot fruit machines –a Bullion Bars triple and a Golden Game triple. Both with linked upper feature boards.
That’s it in terms of traditional mechanical (Cat D) fruit machines, though the expansive casino gaming over 18’s area certainly makes up for the lack of £5 jackpot fruit machines.
Casino Slots Area
The casino slots area is an L shape with two smaller sections each having sit down triple machines Rainbow Riches and Cops and Robbers. In the main section there are several different rows of digital machines and terminals from BluePrint, Vantage and Golden Greats. There are £100, £400 and £500 jackpot slots across the latest games including Fishin Frenzy, King Kong Cash and Eye of Horus. There are also many stand-alone Bar X machines and a Party Time triple.
With lots of different rows and sections, players can easily find a peaceful spot even when its busy.
Venue Verdict
Fantasia amusements arcade has a great layout and is very convenient for exchanging tickets for prizes or if you need to get change. The lady in the change kiosk was extremely friendly and helpful when we enquired about prize tickets, and this really added to the great feeling and atmosphere when we were there. Highly recommended entertainment venue which has something for the whole family.
Featured machine: fidget spinner frenzy machine, a spin-a-win style ticket machine.
