BJ's Leisure World Amusement Arcade Ingoldmells

BJ’s Leisureworld is one of Ingoldmells standout entertainment venues at the heart of the Sea Lane tourist strip. Much more than just a large arcade, the complex brings together a lively bar and entertainment space, an expansive terrace with views over the bustling Sea Lane, and a family-friendly line-up that includes a soft play area, café and four-lane mini bowling alley. An all-in-one venue perfect for a night or day out with the kids. 

Arcade Entrance

The venue has an extensive frontage with multiple open-plan entrances running the length of the building. A pay-and-display car park sits directly beside it, offering convenient access for visitors. Across the road, a cluster of food kiosks with lots of picnic-bench seating provides a convenient option for grabbing lunch or treats. The access is flat, and the arcade machines are generously spread out, making the arcade area mobility scooter and wheelchair-friendly.

Children’s Arcade Games

Stepping inside brings visitors into a spacious foyer that opens up into a large wraparound venue, with a central staircase leading up to the first-floor bars and terrace. This foyer is home to a wide selection of kiddie rides, creating a perfect photo setting for kids on holiday.

Their selection of kiddie rides includes mini spinning teapots, Wild West horse-drawn cart, ponies, spinning aeroplanes, Disney chairs, and a dual-pulled horsey ride on. They also have a classic water gun game called Fire Blaster, which is perfect for pint-sized players. 

Claw Machines

A nice range of claw machines can be found here, ranging from the latest Asian-market machines to well-loved European classics. Shining Cube, Toy Stack and Catching Duck cater nicely to younger players, alongside Tickety Boo joystick grabbers and several ‘Prize Every Time’ machines. Classic favourites include several Elaut EX-1 games, Maxx Grab cabinets and even a Sweet Land Premia.

Players who enjoy oversized claw machines will appreciate the huge Doll Empire machine, stocked with giant highland cow plush prizes. There is also a Skill Cut machine and a Happy Miner four-player crane, where players can win mountains of sweets!

Coin Pushers

BJ’s Amusements has a great range of coin pushers, with the majority being modern ticket prize-paying machines amongst a couple of classic coin pushers dotted around the venue. All the pushers also have a great range of shelf prizes to be won, including sweets, ticket prizes, keychains and gadgets. 

Modern coin pushers include Sweet Falls, Space Invaders, Pharaoh’s Golden Ticket, Looney Tunes, Lady Bug, Deal or No Deal and Rainbow Riches. Classic coin pushers include Double Top and a large rectangle Hot Dog machine. 

Fans of the latest closed-loop coin/ball pushers will just love the modern selection on offer here, and these include Tata Island, Magic Miracle Ball, Ocean Party and Pearl Fishery. 

Classic Arcade Games

The Leisureworld arcade area has a great line-up of classic seaside games to enjoy, and these include arcade racing games, Asphalt 9 DX, Moto Blitz DX and Need for Speed Carbon. Arcade shooting games include The Walking Dead, Jurassic Park and Dinosaur Era. They also have Injustice Arcade from Raw Thrills, where players can win collector’s cards. 

The line-up includes Sonic All-stars and Air FX air hockey tables, a Deal or No Deal quiz machine, and both Monopoly and Shiver Me Tickets two-pence roll-down games. There’s also a classic LAI Block Stacker with unusual artwork, which is well worth spotting.

Fairground Games

This amusement arcade has a fantastic line-up of fairground games, with most of them paying out ticket prizes, which can be exchanged for fun rewards at the prize shop. They have favourites such as Down the Clown, Bean Bag Toss, Ice Ball Skee Ball, Let’s Bounce and Super Tornado. There are also several basketball arcade machines, including Sonic All-Stars and several Monster Drop-style machines. 

Big Arcade Machines

Go big or go home is our motto, and where there are giant arcade machines, we simply have to play! We found AR Sniper - which has giant guns, Axe Heroes, Derby Day and two large 'Game On' Basketball arcade machines that integrate LED screens and cameras. There is also a large four-player Minecraft Dungeons game that pays out collectors cards to lucky players. 

High Strikers

Fans of high strikers will love to play the tall Whack-n-Win game, which pays out big ticket prizes.

BJ’s Leisureworld has fully embraced the latest VR technology trends with two VR three-screen racing simulators, three separate Green Light Experience machines and an impressive six-seat VR rollercoaster simulator.
