The Flamingo Amusement Arcade Great Yarmouth

The Flamingo Arcade is an iconic venue on the Great Yarmouth Golden Mile, which has been established for many years. It occupies a prime location on Marine Parade just in front of the historic Great Yarmouth Hippodrome.

With one of the most impressive illumination displays on the Great Yarmouth strip, The Flamingo Is action-packed by day and mesmerising by night. 

Since the closure of ‘The Showboat Arcade' next door, the Flamingo amusements is the last town-side amusements arcade on the Great Yarmouth strip. In the immediate vicinity there is the famous Harry Ramsdens fish & chip shop and many other local fish and chips vendors. There is also two pubs next door, so visitors really are spoiled for choice when it comes to immediate food and drinks options. 

Arcade Action!

At the front of the arcade are some young kiddie rides, a drinks machine and also a large football shooting game.

Entering the Flamingo Arcade from the seafront, visitors will immediately notice the open-plan layout and seamless connection to the neighbouring amusement venues - Circus Circus and the Golden Nugget Arcade.

Any ticket prizes won are valid in all three arcades. So there really is a wide range of arcade machines to play here with huge variety in the ways to win tickets for redemption. 

The prize shop / ticket counters are located in the central area of the Circus Circus amusements Arcade and there is an abundance of change machines and ticket eaters spread around all three arcades.

This spacious amusements is also accommodating for prams and wheelchairs and has a wide range of games machines enjoyable for all players and ages.

Coin Pushers

There are modern branded 2p coin pushers including Pac Man and Tom & Jerry machines. Both have 3-reels like a fruit machine and players can win tickets for prizes as well as a generous selection of sweets and toys abundant on the coin shelf.

Fairground Games

Around the outside of the arcade are many ‘roll the coin’ roll-down machines, which pay out ticket wins. These include Monopoly, Viva Las Vegas and Cops and Robbers machines that take 2 pence pieces. 

We spent some time playing on the Monopoly roll-down gaming machine and it was super fun and very easy to win tickets. With these modern machines they print off a 'one big ticket' with the 'totalled' amount of individual ‘tickets’ that players have won. This is very handy as it means that players don't have to carry hundreds of tickets, whilst still playing and moving around the arcade.

At the rear of the arcade there are some skee ball and other fairground games and also a Pac Man air hockey table. 

Adult Casino Slots?

The Flamingo Arcade does not have an adult gaming area per se. Instead, it focuses on a wide range of ticket prize winning machines. All of the casino slot machines can be found just meters away at the back of the Golden Nugget Arcade. 

There are also no £5 Jackpot fruit machines in this particular venue, however as mentioned before, the adult gaming area in the Golden Nugget is only a few steps away and has a wide range of fruit and slot machines. There are also some ticket slot machines in the Circus Circus Arcade next door. 

Venue Verdict

A nice, relaxed atmosphere in this amusement arcade with a good range of modern ticket arcade games. Easy access to the other two amusements makes this a very convenient place to enjoy fun with the whole family. In a great location with good access and amenities nearby visitors can enjoy hours of fun here come rain or shine.
