The Mint Amusements Arcade Great Yarmouth

The Mint Arcade is located on Marine Parade opposite the (recently renovated) Marina Centre. Nestled between the Silver Slipper Arcade and the Caesars Palace Arcade, it is well located in the middle of the Great Yarmouth Golden Mile.

Upstairs from The Mint Arcade, there is the Quasar laser tag game set in a futuristic warehouse-style complex resembling something out of a dystopian 1980s movie. This has been part of the Great Yarmouth seafront for many years and is 100% worth a visit with young children / teenage adventurers. The entrance to the Quasar laser tag venue is on the front left-hand side of the venue, though any member of staff can happily help with this. 

The arcade frontage is adorned with a range of young kiddie rides to tempt families into the venue, whilst also sporting a boxing punch machine to entice groups of holidaying adults to test their strength.

Arcade Entrance

Upon entering the front section of the arcade, visitors are greeted with a great range of crane claw machines, which have great prizes such as teddy bears and plush toys including cute kawaii cats and Steven the Seagull. 

These are located between large ticket fairground games, including Ocean Party, Down the Clown and a Derby Days four-player camel racer. Further to the rear of the amusements, there is also a range of 2p roll-down ticket machines.

They also have some great retro arcade machines here, including a licensed Star Wars pinball machine and Mario Kart DX racing arcade games. 

Coin Pushers

The Mint has a great selection of coin pushers with many offering ticket prizes. Shelf prizes in this arcade are also very generous, with prizes including Prime Sports Drinks, Pokémon cards, Pikachu plushies and a delicious range of sweets. 

There are Jurassic Park, Aladdin, Simpsons Donut Daze, Haunted House, Snakes & Ladders themed coin pushers amongst many The arcade also benefits from having many two pence change machines dotted around the venue, so very convenient to break notes and keep playing.

Ticket Redemption

On the left-hand side of the arcade is the prize shop and change kiosk. Here, players can exchange won tickets for a fantastic range of prizes including electricals, toys, gadgets and giant teddy bears.

The Mint Arcade has a fun range of ticket slot machines throughout the arcade, and playing these is a great way to boost ticket totals or help the kids gain those final extra tickets needed for a desired prize.

Venue Verdict

The Mint is a great arcade venue with an excellent range of coin pushers and ticket prize machines. They have a dedicated casino slots lounge and also a classic £5 fruit / slot machine section, which provides a great range of choice for all types of visitors.
