Golden Nugget Amusement Arcade Great Yarmouth

The Golden Nugget amusement arcade has been an iconic venue on the Great Yarmouth Golden Mile for many generations. 

Ideally situated in the middle of the Great Yarmouth strip opposite the Marina Centre car park, the Golden Nugget benefits from easy access and multiple close parking options. The main public toilet block on the seafront is also located a short distance away. 

The arcade itself has a balanced range of modern machines accessible for the whole family. There is a range of ticket winning coin pushers at both 2 pence and 10 pence per play. These include Pac-Man, Tom & Jerry and Hot Dogs penny falls, which have reels that are activated if you roll your coins down at the right time. A win here results in tickets you can exchange for prizes.  With coins to be won from the shelf and also toys, sweets and Pokemon cards, modern coin pushers provide hours of fun for little outlay.

Just past the adult gaming section it becomes apparent that the arcade is seamlessly connected to the Circus Circus arcade next door. It is here that the prize shop for ticket wins is located for Golden Nugget, Circus Circus and The Flamingo. At peak times the queue can get quite busy here with the volume of 3 arcades being funnelled into 1 prize shop, though you can always bank your tickets and come back in the evening or at a less busy time.

Venue Verdict

If you consider Flamingo, Circus Circus and Golden Nugget as the same amusement arcade then the venue is very decent with a good balance of modern ticket arcade machines and also a vast Casino Gaming area. Though they used to have these back in the day, there is a lack of £5 Jackpot mechanical Fruit Machines sadly, though they have certainly made up for these with the range of 10p ticket winning fruit machine triples. 

With ticket wins counting from all 3 arcades, this conglomerate is big enough to rival the size and scope of the Wellington Pier amusement arcade and it some regards it has many positives, due to its central location.
